The Game

German Meka Concept - Art by Simon Turnbull
On 16 November 1943, near the districts of Varena, a forest area in Lithuania, an event occurred that changed the course of the II World War. The small garrison of Wehrmacht that guarded that place, lived somewhat idyllic, despite the rumors of the defeat of Stalingrad and Kursk already had reached the ears of higher ranks officials. Rumors about the Russian victories and the retreat of the army were heard. Around 3:00 am the little garrison led by the Sergeant Joseph Blummer was awakened by a huge whistle followed by a huge explosion. Everyone thought that was an artillery attack or rather the Russians were invading the country. The alarm was fired and the 12 men were armed as they could and get ready for the battle. After 30 tense minutes, only silence reigned and the glare of a fire in a nearby forest could be saw. Quickly the sergeant chose 5 men to go with him to check what was happening. They headed the local and when they got there, a surrealist scene dazed them: a vehicle in a disk format, intact, but buried in the ground by the impact. Immediately the men surrounded the place and warned the garrison by radio, because they thought it was a german experimental vehicle or aircraft, as the Fuhrer said that new amazing weapons would be created in the german laboratories for the war.
In less than 3 hours, four JU-52 landed loaded with elite SS troops and nobody less than Himmler in person! The men were scared and amazed at same time, because their discovery was of greatest importance. Around 8:00 am, there were more than 500 SS soldiers that arrived by land also, inspecting the vehicle. Around 11:00am, Von Braum himself had arrived with his staff and prepared the transport for the strange vehicle. Joseph and his men were transferred to Berlin where tributes waited for them and a decoration given by Hitler himself was promised. The soldiers however did not know that Germany had received a “gift” that would change the course of the war.
The Disc
Von Braum and his staff took the vehicle to a top secret scientific facility of the SS, inside of the mountains of Bavaria. In this underground site, several experiments already were happening under the supervision of a SS official known only as “the skull” and that was a favorite of Himmler and Hitler. The disc was taken causing uproar among men. ührer himself appeared to see the vehicle, with Goring and Goebells, and everyone knew that “Vrill”, as they called it, would be the new trump of the 1000 years Reich. In the next two months, german scientists worked over the vehicle, including getting into it and found unknown bodies of inhuman beings. Mengele himself had been called to the autopsy of the bodies and definitely they were not of earthly origin. With large heads, slanted eyes, no nose, small mouths and thin body, they were outsiders from the starts. But one detail called the attention and led Hitler to delusion: their uniforms had drawn a swastika! They were Aryans of the stars!
The Technology
With the war tending to the Russian side and ally, Hitler desperately needed new weapons and “Vrill” could provide them.
One of the first things that emerged was the combat armor: the PanzerKampfAnzung. They were the result of technology high power micro combustion and mechanics found on disk. They were real personal tanks that converted soldiers of the Reich in true super soldiers, and could cause localized damage to the Russians. The first action of 2 Zugs of(in ?) Armor caused chaos in a Russian armored company. The 6 destroyed 14 Russian tanks in less than 10 minutes, causing panic and without any loss. It had been an unprecedented victory, and in May 1944 the German armor were causing chaos in Europe, promising to change the course of the war. In 1945 a more terrible new version appeared, integrating biotechnology with mechanical engineering!!!
The Game
Iron Warriors, is a combat system of miniatures, which has as main goal to recreate the battles of the Second World War, in a alternative WW II. It is a system on a tactical level, treated in level of the platoon, almost man to man, where the strategy applies above all. Our system was divided into modules, thus making it easier for their learning. The game scale for the miniatures is 18 mm

German Armie - Miniatures Painted by Jorge Bentes
At the same time we know that the player has little patience to assemble and paint a large army of miniatures! We thought about it and did a system which with ten miniatures you can have fun with your friends! Sure we let open the possibility of larger scenarios with more miniatures, but leave it to you!!!
